Long before the pandemic I have been delivering teletherapy to the Bay State after HealinGrace moved from Harvard Sq. to NoVA. As a certified EMDR therapist I have developed refined ways to conduct as powerful EMDR sessions over the phone or video as in person. My authentic therapeutic approach incorporates Biblical counseling and spiritual direction. Many clients have experienced profound transformations as we identify the root of their issues, process painful memories, develop healthy beliefs, and amplify their strengths. Chronically depressed client started seeing life "in color" and severely anxious client drove cross country. Couples on the brink of divorce renewed their covenant and a divorced couple remarried one another.
It has been a great pleasure dedicating myself in the field of behavioral health since 1998 serving people of all walks of life. As a residential counselor I cared for children with hearing impairment and intellectual disabilities. I provided therapy for low income families in the inner city of Boston and Merrimack Valley as well as the suburbanites in the North Shore of Massachusetts. With much encouragement from my church community a private Christian counseling practice, “HealinGrace in Harvard Square," opened up after a very exciting work with UMass counseling center. It was such a joy and privilege to work with students, professionals and couples from InterVarsity, Cru, Harvard, MIT, Wellesley, and local churches. One of the highlights has been presenting a talk on “Mental health and Spirituality” at Harvard-Radcliffe Christian Fellowship. I have led support groups and served as a spiritual guide at local churches for a decade before leaving the Beantown.
Despite the notorious NOVA traffic, clients from Leesburg to D.C. and Johns Hopkins to UVA have joined the long list of clients who have found EMDR therapy and Christian counseling powerfully life changing. Christian life coaching clients have also worked with me from New York, Las Vegas, Seoul and Mexico City to name a few.
